Bush appointing open-border cronie as head of RNC This entry was posted on 1/16/2007 12:36 PM and is filed under Alerts. Bush is trying to put one of his cronies in as chairman of the RNC and only as a figure-head at that. Martinez is an open borders advocate and not even a member of the RNC. Check out this article where the disgruntled RNC is talking about previous chairmen going around parliamentary procedure. I liked that part, "We'll open our checkbooks when you close the border."
