Several months ago there was a letter to the editor in the Odessa American from a local school teacher.  From his name and the contents of his letter, he is obviously Hispanic.  His original letter told us (whites) to go back to Europe, that we were thieves and had stolen "their" land, that we are bigots, racists, murderers, white supremacists.  This created a flurry of more letters to the editor.  The amount of anger in his letters disturbed me, and I wondered why he felt so much anger.  He mentioned in one letter that he supported the NAACP and MALDEF.  I knew what the NAACP is, but I had no idea about MALDEF so I googled it.  That set me on an investigative quest that has led me through a multitude of organizations and their funding, on into illegal immigration, then into our school systems, then our political system, and finally to free-trade agreements.  This process took me several months.  The more I learned, the more alarmed I became.  I've since run across sites who have been working on this, or parts of it, for several years.  Pity I didn't discover them sooner, but I guess it was for the best since I probably would have dismissed them if I had not discovered the information piecemeal for myself.

I've thought and thought about this.  I'd live a more peaceful and orderly life if I just let it alone.  However, I took an oath at 18 when I entered the U.S. Navy to defend this country and the Constitution.  I still remember it.  I cannot remain silent.  Our whole lives are being changed without so much as an, "Oh, by the way."  Some of the people who actually know about this SPP deal disregard it as a conspiracy theory.  However, even if it were a conspiracy theory, it indicates a destructive shift in our balance of power system, a pervasive disregard for the will of the American public, and an intolerable amount of influence brought to bear on our executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government by lobbyists and foreign interests that we dare not ignore.  So I've set up this site.  It's purpose is to educate, discuss, and form action plans.  I'm going to try to wake up the giant silent majority and stop these people who are trying to destroy the greatest nation ever built.  Seventy-five percent of Odessa did not vote in the election November 7.  But everyone I know still believes in the basic tenets of this nation.  This nation will not exist as we have known it if we do not change that.   I would like to have more moderators.  I have one person who has stated he will take the Healthcare focus.  If any of you are interested in moderating any of the other focus categories, please let me know.
